As an alternative, the use of biodiesel by blending certain percentages of biodiesel into diesel fuel is preferred due to both sustainability and some advantages. In this study, 10% soybean oil was added to the fuel used in a single-cylinder diesel engine and the changes in engine power, fuel consumption and exhaust emissions were experimentally investigated. According to the results of the study, it was observed that the engine power was almost the same with the addition of soybean oil to the diesel fuel, but there was an increase in exhaust emissions with some increase in fuel consumption.
