In today's competitive manufacturing sector, saving time and costs, as well as minimizing inventory, is of great importance. Mixed model manufacturing and lean manufacturing practices play a critical role in achieving these goals. This study aims to determine the barriers to lean manufacturing applications in mixed model production lines, which are needed by today's manufacturing industries to save time and costs and reduce inventory. Within the scope of the project, the barriers encountered for the effective implementation of lean manufacturing in mixed model production systems were determined, and the Multi-Actor Multi-Criteria Analysis method was used to evaluate these barriers. During the study, data were collected through literature review and survey applications, the identified barriers were analyzed, and solution suggestions to support lean manufacturing were developed. In line with the findings obtained, suggestions were presented that will contribute to the more effective implementation of lean applications in production processes. The results show that value stream mapping stands out in terms of sustainable decisions. It is also seen that Hoshin Kanri is effectively used by the top management to monitor the vision and guide the lean transformation. This study provides a theoretical and practical contribution to the lean transformation processes in the manufacturing sector by enabling a systematic analysis of the obstacles encountered in lean production applications.
