dc.description.abstractThis paper deals with a review of the chlor-alkali process, an industrial application with significant promise for hydrogen production. In this process, the 2.6 MWh of power required for the operation of the system is met by an ingenious approach using a photovoltaic-based energy system. The research includes a comprehensive simulation of a chlor-alkali production system with the operating temperature set to 88°C using the Aspen Plus. The results demonstrate the remarkable potential of this system with a hydrogen production rate of 82.5 kg/h.en_US
