| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between married women’s listening skills and their levels of communication competence. The sample of the study consists of 406 married women over the age of 18 in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, selected through a convenience sampling method. This quantitative research is based on the relational survey model, and data were collected using a demographic information form developed by the researcher, the Communication Competence Scale, and the Listening Types Scale. The data were found to be normally distributed, and regression analyses were conducted to determine the extent to which the dimensions of listening types predict communication competencies. The study results indicated that employed married women had higher scores in the subscales of empathy, individual aspects, and communication adequacy. The duration of marriage also significantly affected their adaptability. The findings revealed that listening skills are significant predictors of communication competence. In particular, empathic and relational listening were found to have positive and significant effects on empathy, social behavior, adaptation, and encouragement in communication competencies. Consequently, this study demonstrates that listening skills play a fundamental role in enhancing communication competence among married women. These results highlight the importance of expanding programs aimed at developing listening and communication skills, strengthening family counseling services, and establishing support mechanisms for women. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırmanın amacı, evli kadınların dinleme ile iletişim yeterlilik düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Çalışmanın örneklemini, İstanbul ili Zeytinburnu ilçesinde ikamet eden ve kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 18 yaş üstü 406 evli kadın oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma yöntemi ilişkisel tarama modeline dayanan bu nicel araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak da Demografik Bilgi Formu, İletişim Yeterlilik Ölçeği ve Dinleme Türleri Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin normal dağıldığı tespit edilmiş ve gerçekleştirilen regresyon analizleri ile dinleme türleri boyutlarının iletişim yeterliliklerini ne ölçüde yordadığı değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, çalışan evli kadınların empati, bireysel yönler, iletişime teşvik yeterliliği alt boyutlarında daha yüksek puanlara sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu kadınların evlilik süresi, uyum yeterliliğini de anlamlı biçimde etkilemiştir. Bulgular, dinleme becerilerinin iletişim yeterliliklerinin anlamlı bir yordayıcısı olduğunu göstermiş, özellikle empatik ve ilişkisel dinlemenin empati, sosyal davranış, uyum ve iletişime teşvik yeterlilikleri üzerinde pozitif yönde ve anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak bu araştırma, evli kadınların iletişim yeterliliklerini geliştirmede dinleme becerilerinin temel bir rol oynadığını ortaya koymaktadır. Bu sonuçlar, dinleme ve iletişim becerilerinin geliştirilmesine yönelik programların yaygınlaştırılmasının yanı sıra, aile danışmanlığı hizmetlerinin güçlendirilmesi ve kadınlara yönelik destek mekanizmalarının oluşturulmasının önemine işaret etmektedir. | |
